Every 2 minutes someone is sexually assaulted in the U.S. 60% of sexual assaults are never reported to the police. 2/3 of assaults are committed by someone known to the victim.

CATS (Center for Assault Treatment Services at Northridge Hospital) provides 24/7 services to victims of sexual assault and abuse of all ages in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. Each year we serve 1,000 victims, 1/4 of them are children age 6 or younger. At CATS, victims are cared for in a nurturing environment with their safety and well being a primary concern.

CATS collects forensic evidence which helps law enforcement and the D.A.'s Office get the abusers off the street, and educates the community about the importance of child abuse reporting.
